Heavy-duty plastic storage cabinets are ideal for dry supplies such as paper and plastic products, cleaning supplies, well-packaged dry food products, etc. Plastic is more porous than metal, so keep oils and more perishable (sealed) food products on metal shelving and/or in metal cabinets. Metal cabinets can be cleaned with stronger sanitizing materials, so they are a better choice for food storage.
